Services & Fees

I offer therapy for adult individuals and couples of all backgrounds. Therapy is a collaborative process. I start with listening to your stories, and our first few sessions will involve conversations about your situation and needs. After the initial conversations, I will share my impressions, hypotheses, and suggestions on treatment directions, and ask for your feedback. If you decide to continue treatment, we will develop an individualized treatment plan together and move forward. We will revisit our treatment plans from time to time to check in, and will make changes as needed.

Individual Therapy

Reasons for seeking therapy vary. Sometimes they are in crises and need support. What seems common is that my clients want changes in their lives, ways they think, feel, or act. Very often, anxiety and trauma are in the way, though they may not realize it. Individual therapy is a place for a non-judgmental exploration to understand “the why” and to find/develop internal resources to make changes. Sometimes we work on stabilization before we start exploration, depending on the status of the clients.

Couple Therapy

Couples often come to me because they want to connect and communicate better with each other. Sometimes it is after or during crises. Or they may be wanting to make an important decision and are looking for mediation. In some cases, couple therapy starts with struggles of a child. While the child may need help, it is very often helpful for parents to work on their relationships, as child’s behaviors could be a symptom of problematic dynamics between couples.

Theories and techniques mentioned for individuals are often applicable to couples’ work. In addition, I use EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy) and Gottman Method to conceptualize and intervene couples’ dynamics.
