I am a board-certified counselor and therapist, licensed in the State of Washington. License Number: LH60830947

Prior to pursuing an advanced degree in counseling, I had a successful career in the tech corporate world, where I gained extensive management and leadership experience working in the US, Asia, and Europe. Most importantly, I am a human being who has worked through my own emotional difficulties, life challenges, and past trauma. My approach to psychotherapy is informed by all of my life experiences, my education, and my extensive experience working with diverse clients and issues.

In addition to my formal training, I am dedicated to ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with new therapeutic approaches, especially evidence-based theories and techniques in order to provide high-quality and effective treatment.

I use variety of evidence-based, scientifically proven psychotherapy techniques and best practices, including Cognitive and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (CBT and DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing, Neuropsychotherapy, and Mindfulness approaches. For couples, I use Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method. My treatment approach is tailored to each client based on their individual situation. I believe in transparency in treatment and am happy to explain the details of treatment during our work together.

In addition to state law, my therapy practice is bound and guided by the codes of ethics of the American Counseling Association, the National Board for Certified Counselors, and the EMDR International Association.

I have worked intensively with adult clients with diverse presenting issues, levels of functioning, race, culture, and sexual orientation. Anxiety and trauma show up in different ways in our lives. Examples of issues treated are:

  • Anxiety/worries/panic
  • Behavior change
